Context

This is a B2B AI SaaS product in a rapidly growing vertical - with strong demand and high search volume.

The client wanted to see meaningful results quickly and ensure long-term scalability.

Because the product doesn’t offer a free trial, it was critical that we targeted high-intent, ready-to-buy users to generate fast results.

Strategy

We built the account from scratch, launching brand-new campaigns with targeting focused on generic terms, competitors, features, brand, and specific use cases.

Our build strategy focused on:

  • Starting with high-intent exact match keywords to avoid wasting ad spend on irrelevant queries.
  • Using manual bidding to gather initial conversion data without inflated CPCs.
  • Targeting desktop-only traffic to increase conversions - ensuring users could sign up and demo the product immediately, without the drop-off often seen on mobile.

Results

We started seeing sign-ups as soon as the campaigns went live, with purchases coming in within the first week.

In just 30 days, we generated 558 sign-ups, with 42 converting into paying customers, resulting in $2,219 in new MRR - 70% of which came from generic, non-branded keywords. These are entirely net new customers.

The payback period continues to fall and currently sits at under 3 months for non-branded terms.

We’re now scaling with increased budgets, refining keywords, and expanding targeting around top-performing terms.
